‘With a Swing’
I have synesthesia, sound > colour. This is most prominent when listening to music.
This drawing is based on what I see for the song Sing Sing Sing (With a Swing) by the Benny Goodman Orchestra. What I actually see is closer to just the dress, with occasional yellow bursts.
I tried to only use the colours I see, and it proved to be an interesting challenge.
This is 100% unreferenced as well, which I’m quite proud of.

Did another thing.
Tried valiantly to make it look kind of like the TARDIS panel with the POLICE TELEPHONE FREE FOR PUBLIC USE thing, but I don’t know how well I did. Also made the fonts for ‘twenty’ and ‘eighty’ represent, in a small way, the actual ages. ‘Twenty’ is in a bold, sans serif font and all caps, which seems more youthful to me. ‘Eighty’ is in a serif font, and spaced out to be reminiscent of typewriter keys.
This quote is from ‘The Lazarus Experiment.’ I really liked it. So I did a thing.
Contstrictive criticisms, please. I’m really not sure about this.
